The coronavirus pandemic outbreak has only increased the profit of Kosovo commercial banks with profit reaching the peak between January and October this year.

Between January and October 2021, Kosovo’s commercial banks estimated a 90.1 million euros of net profit, making this year the most profitable year in these last two decades for the financial sector.
According to Kosovo Central Bank monthly report on the financial system, the increase of the profit mostly can be attributed to the high income from interests, more precisely from the increase of the loan distributions.
Finally, from the total of 238.1 million euros of income during this period, 166.5 were income deriving from the interests. /Buletini Ekonomik/
